Meet Harmony Cummings

It was spending 8 years in the oil and gas industry where Harmony saw firsthand the harm done to communities and our planet by extractive industries.

This experience feeds her passion for protecting the future for her children and all children. 

 

Harmony founded The Green House Connection Center and on the recognition of the impact that pairing the arts with activism for healing, connection, education and transformation can have.

Harmony is an Outreach and Community Organizer with Colorado Rising, https://corising.org/, who works to protect Colorado’s health, safety, wildlife, environment, and the future of our climate from the impacts of oil & gas development.   She is a member of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Climate Equity Community Advisory Group and was selected for Denver Mayor's Sustainability Advisory Council for Environmental Justice.  She is also a proud member of the Colorado Coalition for a Livable Climate.  She utilizes her experiences, networks and privilege to advocate for environmental justice and bold climate policy whenever and wherever possible.  

 

In her spare time, Harmony enjoys playing outside with her kids, caring for her plants, dancing, building community, listening to live music, connecting with friends and nature and running away to the woods.
